Initial Plot Outline/Discussion

So I'm still putting stuff together, but, there's a Plot Summary page on the Wiki now and the accompanying bit to that is the outline for what we're going to do in our first arcs. I've scribbled down a pretty rough assortment of stuff here based on what we've discussed so far.

Bear in mind, we can't start the Standard part of our plot until part 1 of Arc-V is done, which is still a month-ish away, so I'd kind of like to have a small mini-plot for the characters on that half of the story before they wind up in Standard, so they'll have something to do. I included my idea for it, if you have any alternate ideas, feel free to chip in.

5D's:
- Yusei, Jack, Crow and (maybe?) Aki all go to America for the Cross-America tournament.
- Rua and Ruka can't go because America is dangerous, maybe their parents say no. So they're alone back in Neo Domino.
- Yusei and Jack get embroiled in Liberty's Scar's shit The Scars want to kill them because they're Signers. The Familiar of Scar-Red Nova is jerking them around and wants to possess Jack because he's the reincarnation of the Legendary Signer. The Scars have gotten Xyz and Resistance Duel Disks from Yliaster and use it to constantly hinder Jack and Yusei.
- Familiar of Scar-Red Nova has them convinced they can control him (he's posing as Scar-Red Nova) and when the correct ritual is done, he'll possess Divine and give them the power to rule the country. In reality, he plans to unseal the real Scar-Red Nova and allow him to possess Jack and just burn everything to the ground.
- Rua and Ruka, perhaps prompted by the Crimson Dragon, perhaps just on their own gumption, find out that Yliaster has technology to travel to other dimensions. Assuming that they plan to go to the world of Duel Monster Spirits somehow, they investigate and wind up getting beamed to another world when they encounter the tech and activate it.
- OPTIONALLY, Rua and Ruka wind up in the spirit world when the world traveling tech goes haywire. They have some adventures there, maybe Rua becomes a Signer here instead of it taking eighty fucking episodes yay. They eventually fix the tech and find a way to leave the spirit world, but instead of going home...they wind up in Standard.
- Or maybe they just go straight to Standard. I dunno.

Standard:
- Yuya discovers how to Pendulum Summon against Strong Ishijima. Rua and Ruka see this and want to investigate.
- Eventually, Rua and/or Ruka Synchro Summon in a duel and it gets out that they're Synchro Duelists. They play it off cool enough to dissolve any suspicion, but Reiji discovers them and knows they're from another dimension.
- Reiji speaks to Rua and Ruka. They tell him they're trying to get home. Reiji learns about the world of 5D's from them and goes to investigate it himself.
- Reiji divulges that they have no technology to go to other worlds in Standards themselves, but allows them to stay at LDS and attend classes if they want. Whether they go to LDS or another school like You Show is up to them, though.
- Whether Reiji tells them about Academia and the Fusion Dimension is to be determined - probably not.
- After a short while, Shun and Yuto show up from the Xyz Dimension.

Post your thoughts, what you plan to have your characters be doing, whether you want them to be involved in the Cross Country plot or the (eventual) Standard plot, etc. etc. For the moment, just worry about characters from 5D's. We'll talk a little more seriously about characters from Standard and the Fusion/Xyz/Synchro dimensions a little closer to the beginning of that plot.

using a different game's account, dwi

- Misora will be in America for the tournament, delivering parts to stranded people, ripping them off more than a little, and potentially sticking her nose in places that might end badly for her.
- Fang is probably remaining in Neo Domino, unless the cafe really does do a cross-country coffee trailer robot thing.
